The Whitesboro Fire Department is a combination department that responds to all hazards. In 2019 the City of Whitesboro hired the first full time Fire Chief, Steve Pinkston. The department is made up of two divisions: EMS and Fire. The EMS division staffs 2 MICU ambulances 24/7/365 with full time EMTs and Paramedics. The fire division is made up of volunteers that respond during the day as they are available and at night work a 6 rotating volunteer shift work model. This model ensures that adequate staffing is available to respond to calls for service.
