What is Emergency Management

Emergency Management is the management of responsibilities, resources, and recovery operations before, during, and after emergencies regardless if they are manmade or natural disasters, large-scale accidents, or terrorist attacks.  The Emergency Management Coordinator works to devise action plans and works to minimize damage and death.  The Emergency Management Coordinator works closely with the Fire and Police Chiefs, City Manager, City Council and other key city staff to develop plans on an all hazards approach.
