City of Whitesboro is looking for a full time Utility Billing Clerk.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent , two years or more experience in collections or general office work with concentration on utilities and customer service  Starting pay will be dependent on experience.  Taking applications until position is filled.  Applications available at City of Whitesboro, 111 W. Water Ordinance 991
February 2009

On the February 10, 2009, the Whitesboro City Council adopted ordinance 991 water rate increase; a complete copy of the ordinance may be reviewed at City Hall, 111 W. Main during regular office hours. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WHITESBORO AMENDING APPENDIX 1, FEE SCHEDULE, SECTION 16.00, (B) DEPOSITS AND (E) RATES; PROVIDING FOR GENERAL SERVICE RATES FOR THE SALE OF WATER; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Mayor Dee Welch presents Dustin York with a Proclamation of Recognition and Appreciation for his heroic actions during National Fire Prevention Month at the October 11, 2011 City Council Regular Meeting.

Keep Texas Beautiful recognizes Keep Whitesboro Beautiful and presents the Governor's Community Achievement Award of Excellence for preserving a clean and beautiful environment in the great State of Texas to be enjoyed now and by future generations. 

Pictured at left is Keep Whitesboro Beautiful Vice President, Sharon Welch and Whitesboro Mayor, Dee Welch with council member Jim Keller in the background.  This award was presented at the August 2008 council meeting. 



2007 President's Award Whitesboro employee, Martha Railey (Purchasing Director) and Mayor Dee Welch hold the President's Award for 2007 presented to the City of Whitesboro by the Texoma Land Water Utilities Association given with thanks to the City Employees for their outstanding support and employee dedication to the organization. WIDCO Receives CiCi Award

WIDCO is awarded the CiCi Award by Trade & Industry Development Magazine for the Community ImPact the IESI project had on the community.

IESI, Corp and WIDCO were chosen as one of the Top 15 Community Impact Economic Development Projects in the Nation for 2008. This award was presented to IESI, Corp and WIDCO by Texas Governor Rick Perry's Economic Development department.

June 2008 Community Service Award Winners

The Mayor and City Council presented the Whitesboro Housing Authority with the June 2008 Community Service Award. Board Commissioners

This award is presented each month at the City Council regular called meeting as an expression of appreciation by the Citizens of Whitesboro for outstanding volunteer service to the community.
