This is also known as the Building Code Enforcement Office
The City of Whitesboro follows the 2003 International Building Code (adopted also by the State of Texas) and offers a variety of services to help citizens and contractors.
The Department is responsible for ensuring that building structures in Whitesboro are safe and conform to uniform building codes, offer information on building permits, codes, and to perform inspections.
The staff is trained and certified in all aspects of code administration in accordance with the State of Texas. The Department works with the Fire Marshal on building safety issues.
